14ft Solo Lightweight Canoe

The Nova Craft Fox 14 is an extremely lightweight solo touring canoe ideally suited to cruising the expanses of flat British waterways and lakes. The 14ft length is generally accepted to be the optimal length for a solo canoe as it is short enough to be easily manoeuvred by one person, but long enough to track well and travel at a good speed. With only one seat, the Fox 14 is not suited to tandem paddling - paddlers who wish to be able to go either solo or tandem would be better looking at the Nova Craft Bob Special. At just over 19kg (in TuffStuff) the Fox 14 is easy to carry and portage between waterways. A true joy to paddle and one of the best solo touring canoes out there!

Constructed from lightweight Tuff Stuff - a composite material made of basalt and Innegra fibers. When they are woven together into a cloth and infused with our high impact vinylester resin system, the result is simply amazing! TuffStuff canoes are a great choice for recreational paddlers looking for a light canoe thats tough enough to withstand general touring and recreational paddling use.

Also available to order in other composite materials including, Fiberglass and Nova Crafts proprietry TuffStuff Expedition - a robust heavier duty version of the standard TuffStuff construction. These canoes are an excellent choice for an expedition grade canoe for extended trips and occasional lower-grade whitewater use.
