About THULE Roof Racks
Thule are the world leaders in roof rack systems and cargo carrying solutions.
All Thule roof rack systems are applicated and tested to fit each vehicle - it is essential that you use the correct components specified for your vehicle to ensure a safe and secure fit.
The current generation of Thule roof rack systems (EVO & Edge) are not compatible with the previous roof rack systems. If you already have some parts from a previous vehicle and are unsure about compatibility, please contact us and we'll confirm requirements for you.
- 7104 / 7204 Foot Packs - no fitting kit required (raised rail fitments)
- 7105 / 7205 Foot Packs - requires 5000 series fitting kit (normal roof, clamp systems)
- 7106 / 7206 Foot Packs - requires 6000 series fitting kit (flush rail systems)
- 7107 / 7207 Foot Packs - requires 7000 series fitting kit (fit point vehicles)
Roof Types
There are four main types of roof rack systems for modern vehicle roof types:
- Raised Roof Rails
Rails running along either side of the roof with space for a hand to fit between the roof and the rails - Flush Roof Rails
Rails running along either side of the roof which either have no space between the rail and the roof (flush) or a very small gap. - Fix Points
Roofs with 4 or more threaded holes factory fitted (normally covered by plastic caps) or T-bar clamp fittings. - Normal Roof
None of the above, plain roof which requires a roof rack system that clamps around the edge of the roof profile at the top of the doors.
