One Person Cockpit cover kit

A removable 1 person cockpit kit that covers the deck of the Gumotex Rush 2 to prevent water ingress. The cockpit cover easily velcros onto the Rush 2, and features metal reinforcements that help hold the shape of the kayak and increase it's overall stiffness.

Paddling the Rush 2 as a solo kayak provides plenty of storage space if you want to head off for a day or even a week of camping. You will find the kayak very easy to control as a solo set-up and  Great for paddling in harsher conditions, to keep you out of the elements!  As well as shedding water to provide protection from spray, rain snow etc. the cover also streamlines the profile of the Rush 2 reducing windage too.

The cover has a netting storage area within easy reach in front of the cockpit and further storage on the rear in the form of criss-cross bungee lines. It is easy to fir and remove - first inflate the kayak then fold back the cover on the Velcro strips along the edged of the kayak. Carefully secure the cover using the velcro along its edge then fold the velcro cover strip over the top and you will have a secure and waterproof seal.

There is a strengthener around the cockpit opening which enables the use of any standard design spraydeck to complete the weather proofing.
