Using the latest drop stitch technology the Rush 2 floor chamber inflates to a near rigid feeling 7.2psi offering excellent performance. Combine this with the well defined bow and keel line and you get a kayak that cuts through the water very well. This makes the Rush 2 a great choice for those who want to go touring and exploring and is more than capable of handling coastal waters in calm to moderate conditions. Great for a day trip along the seashore, exploring your local lake or canal or for whitewater up to grade 2! If you want to use this kayak solo just move one seat into the central position and the trim will be fine.

Constructed from the tried and tested Gumotex Nitrilon material, you can be assured that the Rush 2 is durable and will last you many seasons of use if looked after. This material has great resistance to abrasion and is very quick to dry and clean. At just 15.5 kg the Rush 2 can be carried inflated or you can deflate it and packed into its Transport bag. This makes it easy to portage from car to water, one lake to the next or cross-country to waters in less accessible locations.

Most paddlers use the Rush 2 just as it is however for the dedicated touring paddler who wants extra protection against the elements, an optional cockpit cover and spraydeck can be purchased. There is also an optional rudder assembly which will improve performance on open water in windy or choppy conditions. This is a really great kayak for recreational paddlers and is a great option right on through to adventurous explorers who are looking for a portable kayak they could use for expedition work that can be trusted even winter paddling in northern latitudes!  Fully fitted with the cover and spraydeck Gumotex suggest that in the hands of an expert paddler the Rush 2 is suitable for moderate seas, i.e. with the kind of swell and waves generated by wind force 3 to 6!

If you are looking to go away for longer expeditions then you can buy the one person deck cover and load up with plenty of kit. For the average solo paddler this would allow up to a potential load around 70kg of kit which is enough for a fair few weeks away from civilisation!

The Rush 2 packs down to a compact size and is stored within a 100L transport bag. The transport bag is a 'dry bag' so you can quickly stow the kayak wet and it won't leak into your vehicle. Keep it in the car, van, motorhome, boat, caravan etc. and be ready for some awesome paddling adventures with your Rush. Of course we always recommend unpacking and drying the kayak at the soonest opportunity.
