This is a high performing inflatable kayak designed for touring on the sea and inland waterways. With a drop-stitch floor and carefully sculpted shallow V hull profile it is a very capable craft ideal for paddling long distances along the coast or on lakes, estuaries and large rivers. It can comfortably carry up to three people in its open cockpit configuration and either one or two paddlers with the optional deck cover kits. 

The Seashine has room for up to three paddlers when used without the deck covers. You can choose either solo or tandem deck covers if you want to use the kayak in its full kit layout. With a maximum capacity of 250kg it is a great choice for some serious paddling over multi-day trips and it is also great for a quick recreational wander! The shallow V on the dropstitch hull along with the noticeable rocker along the hull line work together to improve straight line tracking, edging control and the way it rides over swells. 

The optional deck cover sets are low profile to reduce windage while keeping the spray at bay. These have a sturdy cockpit coaming that can take standard neoprene spraydecks for those lively sea days or just to keep the cold and wet out during winter trips. If you want to enhance performance further you can purchase the optional rudder which is foot operated and means you can keep a steady and symmetrical cadence while steering through complex waters or handling gusty winds.

Gumotex have been careful to design this watercraft to ensure that two or three paddlers are sat far enough apart to be able to paddle well without clashing paddles! When set up as an open kayak, with the optional third seat, the rear seat should be located close to the stern spray cover and the front seat at its maximum forward attachment point. That should provide enough space for 3 medium-sized adult paddlers without feeling cramped together or clashing blades as would be the case on many 2/3 person kayaks.

When used as an open kayak there is a useful cover at the bow and stern to deflect splashes and to provide secure storage underneath. The bow cover has netting on its upper surface and the rear one has criss-cross bungees so you can keep some kit on top for easy access. The stern cover has a zipper access opening, this is really useful when used with one of the optional deck cover kits. Both of the deck cover kits provide additional on-deck storage in front of each paddler too.

Overall this is a stunning example of inflatable design and engineering and will bring your inflatable paddling experience as close as possible to that you would get in a hard shell tandem touring kayak. In its full kit build with deck cover and rudder this is a very capable multi-day expedition kayak.
