Expedition Composite Sea Kayaks
Built for adventure the North Shore Voyager Evolution has 40 years of product development behind it which has resulted in finely sculpted chines that are soft at bow and stern gradually hardening towards the cockpit then cut away into 'wings' just below the rear of the cockpit making this a fast and stable hull that responds beautifully to edging whether empty of loaded. It is designed to carry you and your kit over long distance trips no matter what the sea throws at you and of course is great for a few hours gentle touring too.
A refined and fairly gentle rocker makes this a predictable and efficient hull which cuts through the water effortlessly whether on calm waters, big sea swells or rough choppy coastal waters. Equipped with a retractable skeg and conveniently located skeg slider controls, you can lock down and track true and straight to a bearing in strong currents and on windy days. The foredeck has cutouts which make high angle braces or forward paddling strokes a breeze and the low profile deck keeps windage to a minimum.
Outfitted with three large hatches accessing sealed bulkhead storage compartments you can load up and go for the day, weekend or a multi-week expedition. The 'day hatch' is located in easy reach just behind the cockpit and is a useful place to store items you might need to access when afloat. There is also a small snack hatch just in front of the cockpit for smaller items. The padded seat offers all-day comfort and the adjustable footrests allow you to lock into the thigh braces for instant connection with the hull - perfect for responsive and active paddling in dynamic conditions. Other features that you would expect from any top spec expedition kayak include a compass recess for the Silva 70p compass, deck lines and bungees for gear attachment, a security bar on the deck behind the cockpit and lightweight toggle handles.
Made in the UK with a Fibreglass-Diolen or Kevlar construction to the high quality standards expected from the sea kayak experts at Northshore. For those wanting a high quality performance expedition sea kayak the Voyager Evolution will be an excellent choice for covering distance whether it be a day trip or multi-day expedition.
