The Venture Kayaks Islay 12 is an adventure touring kayak with good hull efficiency in an easy to manage size. Ideal for progressing paddlers looking for a decent amount of on-board storage and to cover more miles on the water.  The Islay 12 has many of the features of a longer touring kayak in a more compact build that provides more manoeuvrability while still being easy to paddle in a straight line.

Inside teh cockpit you will appreciate the ratchet adjustable backrest and comfortable padded seat as used in top-end Pyranha and P&H Custom Sea Kayaks, offering proven performance and day long comfort. Inside the bow and stern hatches are good-sized bulkhead storage areas with enough space for compact camping kit. If you are not yet ready for kayak camping they do provide reassuring sealed buoyancy chambers or you could take along some picnic kit and even a BBQ for a tranquil break.
