Compact and Stable Touring Kayak - great for day trips

The Perception Expression 11 kayak is a compact touring kayak which features a stable and agile design that is suitable for novice and progressing paddlers. Designed to be paddled on tranquil moving waters, such as lakes or meandering rivers, it is also easily capable of handling the kind of conditions you would meet on sheltered coastal waters. The compact design makes car topping easy and ensures it doesn't take up much room when being stored.

Perception designed the up-swept bow to ride over chop and shed water for a drier ride. There are safety deck lines around the perimeter of the deck and criss-cross bungee cords for on-deck storage. The Expression 11 includes a retractable skeg system which is easy to use. Dropping the skeg helps to lock you onto course in windy or choppy conditions and when crossing a strong current in a river. With the skeg up you have a very manoeuvrable kayak ideal for exploring gullies and passages along a sheltered coastlines. You can lock the skeg off at any point letting you choose exactly how much tracking enhancement you need in various conditions.

The cockpit size makes it easy to enter and exit the kayak, while the seat and backrest provides the kind of support and comfort you will appreciate for relaxed paddling on the water. Adjustable thigh braces and footrests enable you to tailor them for just the right level of connection to the kayak in order to ensure good control. You can also raise the front of the seat base to increase the amount of under thigh support if needed. There is a large oval stern hatch which provides access to a bulkhead storage compartment. This has room enough to stow a trolley or the kind of kit you might want for a leisurely break on a beach or river bank during a trip.
