Lightweight Kayak With Mirage Drive

The Hobie Kayaks Lynx offers a sleek and streamlined low-profile hull which you will find to be both quick and agile when cruising on calm waters. Constructed from lightweight yet durable Ace-tec material this kayak glides beautifully! It is a great choice for general touring and kayak fishing and, at just 47 lbs / 21.32 kg (fitted hull weight), it is easy to handle off the water too.

The Mirage Drive 180 V2 with Kick-Up Fins provides smooth and efficient forwards propulsion, just pull the reverse toggle and you can back up with ease! The Kick-Up ST fins provide worry free pedalling in shallow or murky water, if a fin encounters an object it will just flip back out of the way then resume its propulsion position once the object has passed by!

The pedal crank arms can easily be adjusted to suit paddlers of different leg length. The Lynx comes with a tiltable raised aluminium frame mesh seat which should provide day long comfort. Quick drying mono-mesh seating fabric ensures you stay cool and comfortable for long days on the water. A removable ambidextrous rudder system offers fingertip control of the Lynx using a steering handle that can be clipped to the seat frame on either the left or right-hand side.

The flat hull design is not only very efficient across the water, it also offers excellent stability and the EVA deck pad offers plenty of grip underfoot so if you fancy a bit of stand-up fishing. On flat waters you should feel confident for some stand up casting. There is a transducer cavity on the underside, making it easy to add a fishfinder. Fit a fishfinder mount and your favourite rod holders using the accessory tracks either side of the kayak forwards of the seat. The Lynx has further storage space for adding an H-Crate on the rear and a Cooler Bag to the bow should you wish to kit this out as a full-on fishing craft! If that is not enough, you can always add the optional H-Rail Kit for Lynx to add even more accessory mounting space. A vertical accessory tube is located towards the bow for adding a Sail Kit, Bimini or other accessory mounts. The Lynx is also Power-Pole ready for those who really want to rig up the Lynx for some serious fishing with a shallow-water anchor.
